In the 2023 JW-RWA survey, about 58% of the Genocide Generation live in the same district as during the Genocide in 1994. Significant migration in Rwanda occurred before and after the Genocide; however, the findings indicate that most are proximal to locations and likely people familiar to them during the Genocide.
