In the spring of 2023, an online survey was conducted of baptized adult Jehovah’s Witnesses across all provinces in Rwanda. The 13,590 respondents consisted of 56% females and 44% males—52% under age 40 and 48% age 40 and over. The demographic composition of respondents was similar to the general Rwandan population in age, gender, rural-urban distribution, and education levels. The study demonstrates the feasibility of conducting a large-scale online survey, particularly in rural populations, by providing electronic devices, internet access, literacy assistance, and trained technical support as needed. (Appendix E, Provision for Technical Support, page 497)
